Troubleshooting and repairing major appliances / Eric Kleinert.
Drawing on his 40 years experience selling, installing, and servicing appliances, and teaching about doing so at a technical college, Kleinert provides a detailed look at the field. Sections discuss fundamentals of service; electricity, electronics, and gas; refrigeration and air conditioning; parts; and error/fault or function codes. Nearly half of the book, however is in devoted to detailing the service, installation, and preventative maintenance procedures for various types of appliances. Among them are automatic dishwashers, gas ranges and ovens, residential under-the-counter ice cube makers, and room air conditioners. Line drawings and photographs illustrate.
